About Resurrection Power University
Resurrection Power University (RPU) is a Christian, non-profit, Christ-centered University educating rapture-ready servant-leaders. Our students come from diverse backgrounds and are trained to help prepare the world for the event of the second coming of Jesus Christ.
The University offers Bachelor’s, Master’s, and Doctoral degrees and certificate programs in Theology, Divinity, Ministry, and related areas. In addition to a rigorous academic excellence, our learners acquire the skills that enable them to become ordained and licensed ministers and lay ministers from various backgrounds who learn to carry out their academic and professional practice as a service to God and humanity.
Our vision is to be the best University that uses outstanding theologically-embedded academic programs to alert the world of the second coming of Jesus Christ, thereby significantly enhancing the opportunity for many to be saved and not be left behind on the day the Lord shall come.
Our mission is to educate rapture-ready servant-leaders from diverse backgrounds that would change the world around them by serving the church and society and making disciples for Christ. The University upholds the biblical faith that all wisdom and knowledge treasures are hidden in Jesus Christ (Colossians 2:3). As such, it admits students from diverse theological and non-theological backgrounds and trains them to explore the use of their academic and professional areas as service to God.

Authorization to Award Degrees
South Carolina Commission on Higher Education (CHE)
RPU is exempt from the oversight of the South Carolina Higher Education Commission and is legally authorized to award diplomas, certificates, and degrees “with specific theological, biblical, divinity, or other religious designations” that prepare graduates for service in ministry and award degrees.
Louisiana Board of Regents (BoR)
Resurrection Power University is exempt from licensure by the Louisiana Board of Regents as an institution that offers only religious degrees in the State of Louisiana. The Louisiana law (R.S. 17; 1808) requires that all academic degree-granting institutions operating in the State register with the Board of Regents and be licensed unless otherwise exempt. Exemption from licensure does not imply accreditation or government approval. Institutional registration with the Board of Regents is renewed annually, and Resurrection Power University’s registration is current. According to BoR, issuing licensing and registration for 2023 will start online by February or March 2023.
Institutional Membership: ACCESS
Resurrection Power University is an institutional member of the Association of Christian Distance Education (ACCESS). The mission of ACCESS is to provide leadership in the field of Christian distance education through resources, online community development, and the promotion of various forms of distance education.
National Association of Evangelicals (NAE)
Resurrection Power University is the educational arm of OBASI WORLD OUTREACH RESURRECTION POWER MINISTRIES, INC., which is a member of NAE.
Resurrection Power University (RPU) is currently a Corresponding Institution with the Transnational Association of Christian Colleges and Schools (TRACS). TRACS Accreditation manual states that a Corresponding Institution has made initial contact with TRACS and is actively pursuing the process toward accreditation. The corresponding category, however, does not guarantee that TRACS must ultimately accredit an institution. TRACS is an accreditation agency recognized as a national institutional accrediting agency by the U. S. Department of Education (USDE) and is a member of the U. S. Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA).
Although we are vigorously pursuing accreditation, Resurrection Power University is not accredited by any accreditation agency that the USDE or CHEA recognizes.
To make a better decision, prospective students are advised to clear from their sponsors if they would accept a degree that Resurrection Power University awards.
Transfer of Credits
Every institution decides on the acceptance of credits from other institutions. Although Resurrection Power University may accept the transfer of credits from other institutions based on our set standards, there is no guarantee that any other institution may accept the credits from Resurrection Power University. The receiving institution will decide whether or not to accept RPU’s credits based on its set standards.
