Resurrection Power University
About Us
Resurrection Power University
Resurrection Power University (RPU) is a non-profit Christian religious institution of higher education, incorporated in the State of South Carolina, with all the rights, powers, privileges, and immunities, and subject to all the limitations and liabilities, conferred by Chapter 31, Title 33, of South Carolina Code of Laws and Acts amendatory thereto.
Our Vision
Our vision is to be an outstanding institution of higher learning in the world that uses its academic programs to alert the world of the inevitable second coming of Jesus Christ, thereby significantly enhancing the opportunity for many to be saved, and not be left behind on the day the Lord shall come.
Our Mission
Our mission is to educate rapture-ready, servant-leaders from diverse backgrounds, who would impact the world around them by serving the church and society, and making disciples for Christ. As a University that  upholds the biblical faith that all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge are hidden in Jesus Christ (Colossians 2:3), Resurrection Power admits students from diverse theological and non-theological backgrounds and train them to explore the use of their academic and professional areas as a service to God.
Our Philosophy
Our philosophical approach is the blending of competitive professionalism, academic excellence, and biblical Christian theology with special emphasis on the second coming of Jesus Christ. The product is the educated whole person in body, soul, and spirit, who practices their profession as a service to God.
Authorization to Award Degrees
South Carolina Commission on Higher Education (CHE)
RPU is exempt from the oversight of the South Carolina Higher Education Commission and is legally authorized to award diplomas, certificates, and degrees “with specific theological, biblical, divinity, or other religious designations” that prepare graduates for service in ministry, and award degrees.
Louisiana Board of Regents (BoR)
Resurrection Power University is exempt from licensure by the Louisiana Board of Regents as an institution offering only religious degrees in the State of Louisiana. The Louisiana law (R.S. 17; 1808) requires all academic degree-granting institutions operating in the State to register with the Board of Regents and be licensed unless otherwise exempt. Exemption from licensure does not imply accreditation or government approval. Institutional registration with the Board of Regents is renewed annually, and Resurrection Power University’s registration is current for the year 2022.
Associations
Institutional Membership: ACCESS
Resurrection Power University is an institutional member of the Association of Christian Distance Education (ACCESS). The mission of ACCESS is to provide leadership in the field of Christian distance education through resources, online community development, and the promotion of various forms of distance education.
Accreditation Statement
Resurrection Power University (RPU) is currently a Corresponding Institution with the Transnational Association of Christian Colleges and Schools (TRACS). TRACS  Accreditation manual states that a Corresponding Institution is one that has made initial contact with TRACS and is actively pursuing the process toward accreditation. The corresponding category, however, does not guarantee that an institution must ultimately be accredited by TRACS. TRACS is recognized as a national institutional accrediting agency by the U. S. Department of Education (USDE) and is a member of the U. S. Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA).
Although we are vigorously pursuing accreditation, the Resurrection Power University is not accredited by any accreditation agency that is recognized by the USDE or CHEA.
Prospective students are therefore advised to clear from their sponsors if they would accept a degree that is awarded by this University before they continue.
Transfer of Credits
Every institution makes the decision on the acceptance of credits from other institutions. Although Resurrection Power University may accept transfer of credits from other institutions based on our set standards, there is no guarantee that the credits from Resurrection Power University may be accepted by any other institution. The receiving institution will make that decision to accept RPU’s credits based on its own set standards.
